Why Bayzat

Where international HR platforms stop

An international HR platform

Everything except the difficult parts

  • × Records, leave and performance handled well
  • × Then payroll runs and it cannot produce a SIF in the format MOHRE requires
  • × Gratuity calculated on a formula written for a different labour law
  • × Visa and labour card expiry in a spreadsheet, because there is no field
  • × Medical insurance administered outside the system, by someone emailing a broker
Bayzat

Built in the UAE, for the UAE

  • ✓ WPS and SIF generation as a core function
  • ✓ Gratuity under Article 51, accrued monthly
  • ✓ Document expiry tracking with escalating alerts
  • ✓ Insurance administration inside the same system
  • ✓ Which is why it has become the default for companies that want HR handled properly without running an ERP

QZ Infomatics implements Bayzat and integrates it with the finance system you already run.

The decision

Bayzat, or HR inside your ERP?

Bayzat compared with the HR module inside your ERP
Choose Bayzat whenChoose the ERP HR module when
Employee experience matters as much as processingPayroll must post natively to accounts and project cost codes
Medical insurance administration is currently a burdenYou allocate site or production labour to jobs
HR owns the function and wants a system built for their workFinance rather than HR will own payroll
UAE coverage out of the box matters more than deep accounting integrationYou want one system and one vendor
People-heavy service businesses — retail, hospitality, healthcareContractors allocating site labour to cost codes

Both are valid, and the decision usually comes down to who owns the system day to day. For the category view — what HRMS software does and what UAE businesses need from it — see HR and payroll software.

Integration

Where Bayzat meets your accounts

The payroll journal, posted

Salary cost by department, cost centre or entity, WPS payable, gratuity provision, leave accrual and deductions, to the correct accounts without re-entry.

Multi-entity allocation, defined up front

For groups, the allocation across entities needs deciding at implementation rather than reconciling afterwards. For project businesses, cost-code allocation needs a decision of its own.

And a named owner for the reconciliation

The step most commonly left undefined in a standalone HR implementation, and the one that produces a month-end surprise a quarter later. QZ implements both sides, which is the reason to have one party scope it.

Compliance

What UAE compliance actually requires

WPS

A Salary Information File generated in the exact MOHRE format and submitted through your bank or exchange house. A file that fails validation is rejected outright rather than partially processed, which is why generating it from the payroll run matters.

Gratuity under Article 51

Calculated on basic salary and service length, with different treatment by contract type and by resignation versus termination, accrued monthly so the liability appears in your accounts rather than at settlement.

Leave rules

Annual leave accrual and encashment, sick leave bands, unpaid leave, and public holidays falling within a leave period.

Document expiry

Passport, visa, labour card, Emirates ID and insurance renewal dates with escalating alerts. Above roughly fifty staff, a missed renewal carries fines and can block unrelated government transactions.

Emiratisation

Headcount categorisation and the reporting that quota obligations require.

Multi-entity payroll

Groups running several licences need payroll processed per entity with consolidated reporting, and WPS submitted per establishment.

Implementation

What implementation involves

Migration from an existing HR system, or from spreadsheets, covers employee records, documents, leave balances and gratuity accruals. How much historical payroll data comes across is a cost decision — most businesses move balances and the current year.

  1. 01

    Load employee master data

Records, contracts and documents, checked against the source rather than carried across from a spreadsheet unexamined.

    From the documents
  2. 02

Enter opening gratuity and leave balances

The item most often got wrong. If the figure has been kept in a spreadsheet, expect to recalculate it from contract dates — and expect the recalculated number to differ.

    Recalculated, not carried
  3. 03

    Configure policies and the journal

Leave rules, allowances, deductions, and the payroll journal connected to your accounts with the allocation agreed.

    Agreed with HR and finance
  4. 04

    Run one parallel payroll

Alongside the existing process, confirming both the figures and the SIF file match before anything is submitted. Go-live is always at the start of a pay period, never mid-month.

Two to four weeks in total

Bayzat FAQs

What buyers ask us about Bayzat

What is Bayzat?

Bayzat is a UAE-built HR, payroll and employee benefits platform covering employee records, leave and attendance, WPS payroll, expense claims and medical insurance administration. It was designed around UAE labour and insurance requirements rather than adapted from an international product.

Why do UAE companies choose Bayzat?

Because the UAE-specific parts work out of the box: WPS file generation, gratuity calculation, visa and document expiry tracking, UAE leave rules and integrated medical insurance management. International HR platforms typically handle everything except those, which is where manual work returns.

How does Bayzat calculate end-of-service gratuity?

Bayzat applies UAE Labour Law Article 51: 21 days of basic salary for each of the first five years of service and 30 days for each year after that, capped at two years’ salary and pro-rated for partial years. The figure is calculated from the employee’s recorded basic salary and service dates, so it is available before the final settlement is run.

Can Bayzat handle multi-entity payroll for a group of companies?

Yes. Each legal entity keeps its own WPS registration, bank file and payroll calendar inside one Bayzat account, and group HR can report across all of them. We configure the entity structure during implementation so employees, costs and SIF files stay attributed to the right company.

Does Bayzat support Emiratisation tracking?

Bayzat records nationality and employment status per employee, which gives you the Emirati headcount and ratio your MoHRE and Nafis reporting needs. We set the reporting up as part of the implementation so the numbers are available without a spreadsheet.

Can you migrate our existing HR data into Bayzat?

Yes. Employee records, contracts, documents, leave balances and payroll history are loaded through Bayzat’s import templates. We clean and validate the data with you first, then reconcile the first parallel payroll against your current system before going live.

Does Bayzat handle WPS payroll?

Yes. Bayzat calculates payroll and generates the Salary Information File for submission through your bank or exchange house, with employer and employee identifiers formatted as MOHRE requires. Payroll approval workflow and payslip distribution are handled within the same run rather than separately.

Does it manage medical insurance?

Yes, and this is a genuine differentiator. Bayzat administers employee medical insurance alongside HR records: enrolment, dependants, claims support and renewal. For UAE companies currently managing insurance separately through a broker, consolidating it with HR removes a recurring administrative burden.

Can employees use self-service?

Yes. Staff request leave, view payslips, submit expense claims, access insurance cards and update personal details through a mobile app. Self-service is where HR teams recover the most time, because routine requests stop arriving as individual messages, calls and corridor conversations.

Does Bayzat integrate with accounting or ERP?

Payroll journals can be exported or integrated into your accounting system so salary cost, accruals and gratuity provision post correctly without re-entry. Confirm the integration method for your specific ERP during scoping, since the approach differs between platforms and between versions.
