Odoo Partner UAE

Odoo is easy to install and hard to configure correctly.
The difference shows up at your first year-end.

An Odoo partner is a company officially recognised by Odoo to sell, implement and support the software. QZ Infomatics implements Odoo for UAE businesses from Business Bay, Dubai — covering VAT and WPS localisation, data migration, custom development, training and ongoing support.

✓ UAE tax and payroll knowledge✓ Bilingual invoicing configured✓ Same timezone at go-live✓ Fixed scope on a first project

The network

What an Odoo partner is

The network

Graded on consultants and track record

Odoo sells and supports its software largely through a partner network. Partners are graded — Ready, Silver and Gold — based on the number of certified consultants, active subscriptions maintained and project track record.

  • › Ready, Silver and Gold, in ascending order
  • › Based on certified consultants and subscriptions maintained
  • › Verifiable on the official directory at odoo.com
  • › Which lists country, grade and consultant count

What it gives you

Accountability for the configuration

Working with a partner rather than direct gives you a local implementation team, a direct escalation path into Odoo, and someone accountable for the configuration rather than only for the software.

  • › A local team who can be on site
  • › An escalation path into Odoo itself
  • › Someone accountable for how it was configured
  • › Not only for whether the software works

Local vs offshore

Why a UAE partner rather than offshore

Odoo implementation is available cheaply from a great many offshore providers. For a UAE business, four things make the local option worth the difference.

Tax and payroll knowledge you cannot buy remotely

FTA-compliant VAT setup, a chart of accounts your auditor will accept, WPS payroll and SIF file generation, gratuity and UAE leave rules. An offshore team implements what you specify; they do not know what you failed to specify.

Bilingual invoicing

Arabic and English layouts, expected by many UAE customers and required by some government entities. Configuration, not a setting.

E-invoicing readiness

As the FTA mandate phases in through 2027, your deployment needs a defined path to compliance and an Accredited Service Provider connection. E-invoicing.

Same timezone, on site when it matters

Go-live week, user acceptance testing and the first month-end are considerably easier with someone in the room.

The offshore build that works fine until the auditor asks a question is a recurring story in this market. Configuration is usually only about a third of the value — scoping at the start and support afterwards account for the rest, which is why partner selection on day-rate alone tends to disappoint.

Due diligence

How to verify and compare partners

01Check the directory

odoo.com lists grade and certified consultant numbers. Confirm what any partner claims, including ours.

02Ask about UAE projects specifically

Global project counts mean little. How many Odoo deployments has this team taken live in the UAE, and in your industry?

03Ask for a reference in your sector

More useful than a testimonial, because you can ask what was harder than expected.

04Ask who will actually be on your project

The person selling is frequently not the person delivering.

05Ask what happens at the next version upgrade

A partner who has never taken a client through an upgrade has not seen the consequences of their own customisation decisions.

06Ask what the quote excludes

Consistently the most revealing question, and the one least often asked.

This list works against us as well as for us. A partner unwilling to be measured on it is telling you something. What it should cost →

Migration

Migration to Odoo

What moves

From QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, Sage or Focus

Migration from a legacy or in-house system is standard work: master data, opening balances, open transactions and an agreed slice of history.

  • › Customers, suppliers, items and the chart of accounts
  • › Opening balances and open receivables and payables
  • › How much history you carry is a cost decision, not a technical one
  • › Most businesses take balances plus one or two years
How migration runs →
What cannot be skipped

Reconciliation before sign-off

Opening balances must tie back to the closing figures from your old system before anyone signs off, because a migration that does not balance costs several times more to correct later.

  • › Balances reconciled to the old system
  • › Signed off by finance, not by the project
  • › Before go-live, not after the first month-end
  • › This is the step most rushed projects drop
Odoo Accounting →

After go-live

Support, and what it costs

What an AMC covers

User assistance, bug fixes, minor enhancements, report changes and version upgrades under an annual maintenance contract.

Agree it before go-live

Response times by severity, and what counts as a chargeable change request. That single conversation prevents most of the friction in Odoo support relationships.

Priced on what you built

Partner fees are quoted per project or per day, separately from your licence. Customised systems cost more to maintain, because every upgrade requires retesting.

Odoo partner FAQs

What buyers ask us about choosing an Odoo partner

What is an Odoo partner?

An Odoo partner is a company officially recognised by Odoo to sell, implement and support the software. Partners are graded — Ready, Silver and Gold — based on certified staff, active subscriptions and project record. Working with one gives you a local implementation team and a direct escalation path to Odoo.

Why choose an Odoo partner in the UAE rather than overseas?

A UAE partner brings local tax and payroll knowledge you cannot buy remotely: FTA-compliant VAT setup, a chart of accounts your auditor will accept, WPS payroll files, Arabic invoice layouts and e-invoicing readiness. On-site training and same-timezone support also matter more than most buyers expect before go-live.

What does an Odoo partner actually do?

Discovery and process mapping, platform and module selection, configuration, UAE localisation, data migration from your existing system, custom development where needed, user training, go-live support and ongoing maintenance. Configuration is usually only a third of the value — scoping and post-go-live support account for the rest.

How do I verify a company is a genuine Odoo partner?

Check the official partner directory on odoo.com, which lists each partner’s country, grade and number of certified consultants. Ask how many Odoo projects the team has taken live in the UAE specifically, and request a reference from a client in your own industry rather than a general testimonial.

What should I ask an Odoo partner before signing?

Ask who will actually be on your project, how VAT and WPS will be configured, what happens to your customisations at the next version upgrade, what the support SLA covers, and what the quote excludes. The last question tends to be the most revealing.

Does the partner handle support after go-live?

Yes. Ongoing support is normally an annual maintenance contract covering user support, bug fixes, minor enhancements, report changes and version upgrades. Agree response times and what counts as a chargeable change request before go-live rather than after the first urgent issue.

Can a partner migrate us from another system to Odoo?

Yes. Migration from QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, Sage or a legacy in-house system is standard work: master data, opening balances, open transactions and an agreed slice of history. How much history you carry across is a cost decision — most businesses move balances plus two years of transactions.

How much does working with an Odoo partner cost?

Partner fees are quoted per project or per day, separately from your Odoo licence. Fixed-scope implementation pricing is common and preferable to open-ended day rates on a first project. Ongoing support is typically an annual figure based on user count and system complexity.
