ERP consulting services in the UAE

An independent view on which ERP fits,
before anyone sells you one.

QZ Infomatics provides independent ERP consulting in the UAE, covering requirements definition, business process mapping, gap analysis, vendor evaluation and scoring, total cost of ownership modelling and phased roadmap design. We assess platforms we do not implement, including SAP, because we are paid for the engagement rather than the licence. A full selection engagement typically runs three to six weeks.

What it means here

What ERP consulting means at QZ Infomatics

We are not tied to any one platform. We have hands-on delivery experience across Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP and Oracle, so our advice is based on what fits your business, not what pays us a referral.

01 — Selection

Platform selection & evaluation

We look at your business size, how you are growing, what your industry needs, what you are currently running and what you can realistically spend. Then we tell you which platform makes sense and why, with a clear comparison of your options.

  • › Requirements definition and documentation
  • › Vendor shortlisting and evaluation scoring
  • › Structured demo facilitation and assessment
  • › Commercial negotiation advisory
  • › Total cost of ownership modelling
Compare the platforms →
02 — Assessment

Current state assessment & gap analysis

Before any implementation decision, we map what you are running today. We look at your systems, your processes and your data to understand the gap between where you are and where you need to be. This is the foundation of a sound implementation plan.

  • › Business process mapping across all departments
  • › Technical depth and integration complexity assessment
  • › Data quality evaluation and migration feasibility
  • › Security and compliance posture review
  • › User adoption risk assessment
Already live? Health check →
03 — Roadmap

ERP roadmap & strategy

If you need to roll out in phases across modules, business units or locations, we design a multi-year roadmap that balances business priority, technical dependency and budget.

  • › Phased implementation planning
  • › Module and feature prioritisation
  • › Integration sequencing strategy
  • › Budget allocation and ROI modelling
  • › Change management and communication planning
Then build it →
04 — Review

Post implementation review

Already live but not getting the value you expected? We come in independently, identify where the gaps are, whether that is adoption, configuration or process, and give you a clear plan to fix it.

  • › System utilisation and adoption analysis
  • › Configuration quality assessment
  • › User feedback and pain point mapping
  • › Optimisation roadmap development
  • › Support model evaluation and design

End to end

How an ERP consulting engagement runs

Three to six weeks from first conversation to a recommendation you can put in front of a board. Every step produces something you keep, whoever ends up building the system.

  1. We map what you run today

Process mapping across finance, operations, procurement and the site or floor. Not a questionnaire sent by email.

  2. Requirements get written down

A documented requirement set, separated into must-have, should-have and nice-to-have, agreed with the people who will use the system.

  3. The gap analysis lands

Where you are, where you need to be, and how far apart those are in data quality, integration complexity and adoption risk.

  4. Platforms are scored, not pitched

A shortlist scored against your requirements, including platforms we do not implement. The scoring model is yours to keep and challenge.

    Compare platforms →
  5. Demos run to your script

We facilitate vendor demos against your scenarios rather than their showreel, and score them consistently while you watch.

  6. Total cost of ownership is modelled

Licence, implementation, integration, training, support and the upgrade cost of every customisation. Five years, not year one.

  7. You get a recommendation and a roadmap

One recommendation with the reasoning, the runners-up with why they lost, and a phased roadmap balancing priority, dependency and budget.

What you actually get

Six documents you keep, whoever builds it

Consulting is easy to buy and hard to evaluate, so here is the physical output. If you take these and appoint a different implementation partner, that is a legitimate outcome.

Requirements document

Prioritised, department by department, signed off by the people who will use the system.

Process maps

How the business actually runs today, including the workarounds nobody documents.

Evaluation scorecard

Every shortlisted platform scored against your requirements, with the weighting visible.

Five-year TCO model

Licence, implementation, integration, support and the cost of each customisation over time.

Phased roadmap

What goes live when, in what order, and what each phase depends on.

Risk register

Adoption, data quality, integration and compliance risks, with a mitigation against each.

The question everyone asks

ERP consulting or ERP implementation?

They are different engagements with different outputs. You can buy them together, or take the consulting alone and appoint someone else to build.

Decides what and why

ERP consulting

Ends with a decision you can defend to a board: which platform, in what order, at what total cost, and what happens to the data you already have.

  • › Output is documents and a decision
  • › Runs 3 to 6 weeks, quoted as a fixed fee
  • › Covers platforms we do not implement
  • › You can stop here and it is still worth it
Start with consulting →
Builds it

ERP implementation

Takes the decision and turns it into a working system: configuration, data migration, integrations, training, cutover and hypercare.

  • › Output is a live system your team uses
  • › Runs 8 to 32 weeks depending on scope
  • › Fixed price and a published timeline
  • › Only on platforms we deliver in house
ERP implementation →

Most clients take both, because the consulting is what makes the implementation predictable. Some take the consulting and build elsewhere, and that is fine. See all services →

Independence is not a claim, it is a commercial structure. We are paid for the engagement, not for the licence you end up buying, which is why we can afford to tell you the answer is a platform we do not sell.

If you go on to build

Five stages. You know the cost and the date before stage one ends.

Consulting feeds straight into stage two, which is why implementations that start here rarely surprise anyone.

  1. 01

    Discovery

Already done if you took the consulting engagement. The requirements and process maps carry over.

    Week 1–2
  2. 02

    Fixed proposal

Scope, platform, modules, integrations, timeline and a fixed price. In scope means covered.

    Week 2
  3. 03

    Build & migrate

Configuration, data migration and integrations, reviewed by your team every sprint.

    Week 3–9
  4. 04

    Train & go live

Role-based training on your own data, a parallel run, then cutover with consultants on site.

    Week 9–12
  5. 05

    Hypercare

We stay until adoption is real, not until the invoice clears. Then optional AMC support.

    Post go-live

Consulting FAQs

What buyers ask us about ERP consulting

How is ERP consulting different from ERP implementation?

Consulting decides what to build and why; implementation builds it. Consulting covers requirements, current-state assessment, gap analysis, platform evaluation and the roadmap, and ends with a documented decision. Implementation takes that decision and configures, migrates, trains and goes live. You can buy them together or separately. ERP implementation.

Do you consult on ERP platforms you do not implement?

Yes. We implement Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Oracle NetSuite, but our consulting covers SAP and other platforms as well. If the evaluation points at something we do not deliver, we will say so and help you run the selection anyway. We are paid for the engagement, not for the licence.

Do you provide support after the implementation is complete?

Yes. Every implementation includes hypercare, where consultants stay engaged until adoption is real and the first month closes cleanly. After that you can move to an optional AMC covering user support, enhancements, version upgrades and reporting changes. Support and training.

How long does an ERP consulting engagement take?

Three to six weeks for a full selection engagement, covering process mapping, requirements, gap analysis, vendor evaluation, demo facilitation and a TCO model. A narrower second-opinion engagement, where you already have a shortlist, typically runs two to four weeks.

What does ERP consulting cost?

Consulting is quoted as a fixed fee based on the number of departments to map, entities in scope and platforms to evaluate. It is a small fraction of the implementation cost and is designed to stop you spending six figures on the wrong platform. We give you the fee before the engagement starts. Estimate the implementation cost.

Can you review a proposal we have already received?

Yes. We review vendor proposals independently, checking scope completeness, what is excluded, how change requests are priced and whether the timeline is realistic for the scope described. This is often the cheapest useful thing we do for a client.

We are already live and it is not working. Is that consulting?

That is a post-implementation review, and it is part of what we do here. We assess adoption, configuration quality and process fit independently of whoever built the system, then give you a fix plan. Replacing the platform is the last option, not the first. ERP health check.
